Our first and very much anticipated stop was to the Mad Greek for late nite supper. This establishment in Baker, CA serves the best gyro and much to my surprise baklava shake. I didn't like the sound of it at first but the sugar loving Tal had to try it and now we're hooked! The nuts and crispy pieces were nice contrast to the cold creamy shake, my favorite kinda combo! Because it was XMas (arrived close to midnight), we were the only ones there.

We ordered two entrees but only finished one and save the other for later. We arrived close to 2 and checked in to the motel with the doggies. They were restless from traveling and also being in new environment so it took them a while to go to sleep without having to growl or bark at every noise they hear.
